The undulations of the depths, the lowest of the lows, the most concealed of the hidden, have spoken. With the leash broken, everything is at war. With the forgotten governing, it is back to the long before. Clawing, making its way out. The prowess that rested for an eternity defiantly crawling its way back to the naked eye. For a moment there was nothing, and in a snap everything was chaos.

We were there for only 3D2N. Well i’m used to those duration of trips since my lola doesn’t have the luxury of time to have long trips. Of all the places I went to in the country, Palawan’s the only one who gave me the urge to stay. It’s that good.

As semestral break was nearing, my need to save up arises. It even came to the point that I had to bring packed lunch to school to cope up with the incoming wave of expenses. I had numerous trips planned and I won’t be able to enjoy it without some moolah. My first stop, Boracay!

We booked our flight ahead of time, all thanks to the competitive companies in the airline business in the Philippines today, we got roundtrip tickets from ZestAir at 1,500.

We landed in Kalibo at around 7PM but we still had to ride a shuttle for approximately 2 hours to Caticlan jetty port and from there, a 10-minute bangka ride. Good thing Southwest Tours still caters to late night needs of passengers. If you haven’t booked a transfer, don’t fret since a lot of vans are waiting outside the airport to take you to the port. But if you will travel with the time the same as ours, I suggest you work on that.

Upon entering Boracay island, one must pay roughly 50 pesos for the bangka ride and 100 pesos for the environmental fee. We even joked on being broke already before we even arrive in Boracay.

We chose to stay in Red Coconut Beach Hotel. It’s a beachfront property that really has an accommodating staff. Don’t let the woody and rustic feel of the establishment fool you for it’s all comfortability inside. Strategically located in Station 2, it is near D’Mall and all other major establishments, thus making your stay in the island convenient.

And when you’re in Boracay, beach photos are a must.

What’s wrong with us is we wish for the wrong things. We want the wrong things in life and it leads us astray. We fight for it in the most gruesome way, even sacrificing a few things along the way, and when we get it, it’s over. We are once again in the place we were before, lost and undecided.

I didn’t even know things got better until they were. One day I was moping, sulked in melancholy and now I get giggles at the simplest questions asked by the right person. True that it’s the journey that counts for it’s what you’ll remember. You won’t even remember the details of you reaching your destination, what will be etched hard would be the memories you made along the way.
